All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) office in Kohima was vandalised on Saturday evening by two unknown miscreants.
ANTA President Dziesevituo Solo has expressed his displeasure and condemned the act. He said ANTA from all units of Nagaland will strongly stand by “One Government One Tax” policy and will stick to it even at gun point.
The Association had resolved to follow the “One Government One Tax” policy a year back.
It had been informed that two people entered the office in the evening when the ANTA officials were about to close their office for the day and asked the association’s general secretary Meyieho Hibo to pay yearly tax to which he refused.
The general secretary informed that the miscreants then took out his gun and pointed at him and went on to vandalize their office.
An FIR had been filed at North police station.
It had also been informed that 3 suspects have been held for questioning.
More details awaited.
