The Tsungiki Joint Forest Management Committee (JFMC) under the National Forestry Management Project (NFMP) inaugurated a basketball court under Entry Point Activity (EPA) and a water tank under Water Harvesting Structure (WHS) today at Jubilee Ground, Tsungiki Village. The event was held under the theme “Towards a Sustainable Future.”
The Inauguration was conducted by Suman W M Sivachar, IFS, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) and Head of the Divisional Management Unit (DMU), Wokha Forest Division and Doyang Plantation Division. The dedication was offered by T. Mhao Kikon, Pastor, Tsungiki Baptist Church.
Sivachar, in his speech congratulated JFMC Tsungiki for the innovative work and expressed gratitude for the community contribution towards the completion of EPA and WHS. He stated that the EPA is one of a kind under the project and expressed optimism that with the players representing the tribe, district, state and nation will come out of the village. He also deliberated on the works executed under NFMP and encourage the community in participating in the various works under the project. Despite the staff shortage faced by the division, Sivachar stated that the division is trying its best to address the issues pertaining to the district and requested the community for their cooperation in various project activities within the village jurisdiction.

Er. Sangmou also congratulated the JFMC and the entire NFMP team for the works executed under the project and encourage the gathering for judicious utilisation of the assets created under the project. He also challenged the youths and stated that real success is only when the court produce prominent players representing state and nation.
Jonny, JFMC President, in his address expressed gratitude to the NFMP team for finincal support and technical assistance the village has gain through the implementation of NFMP project in the village. He also stated that the EPA was successfully completed with almost 70 percent contribution from the community during execution and encouraged and request ed cooperation to the community in the coming days as well.

Chairperson, Wokha town council, Lily T Humtsoe, Councilor, Wokha town, Santsuthung Murry,Councilor, wokha town, Rajiv shankar, IFS, ACF, ADMU, Elithung Odyuo ACF, Baghty range, additional incharge Merapani range, Chang pang beat, Olivi Awomi, RFO, Liphayan beat, Karlimba, Dy. Ranger, Changpang beat and staff of Wokha Forest Division, Wokha DMU, FNGO – Natural Naga members.
