Nagaland State BJP President Benjamin Yepthomi and National Secretary & Nagaland In-Charge Anil K Antony called on the National President of the BJP and Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda at his official residence in New Delhi in New Delhi today. Nagaland MLA T Yangseo Sangtam and Dr Bobby Panicker, who recently joined the Party, also met with Nadda.

The Office of JP Nadda said that the new members of the BJP called on the National President “to seek his guidance and best wishes”.

In a post on X, Benjamin Yepthomi thanked Nadda for according a warm welcome to the two esteemed leaders. Their presence will further strengthen the party in Nagaland, he added.

MLA T Yangseo Sangtam, who is former deputy speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, formally joined the BJP on 23rd September 2024. He was elected as MLA from 60 Pungro A/C, Kiphire which he contested with ticket from RPI (Athawale).

Dr Bobby Panicker had served as former working president and treasurer of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee and also as vice chairman of North East Congress Coordination Committee. He was expelled by the Congress earlier this year.
