The Congress Party has on Wednesday announced that it will be initiating ‘Bharat Nyaya Yatra’ from 14 January 2024 to 20 March “for economic justice, for social justice and for political justice.” Addressing the media, General Secretaries Jairam Ramesh and K C Venugopal said on December 21st, the Congress Working Committee suggested that Rahul Gandhi should start a yatra from east to west, to which Gandhi agreed.
They informed that mode of the yatra is a bus journey, along with some short walks every now and then. Starting in Manipur, the Bharat Nyaya Yatra will pass through 85 districts of 14 states and end in Mumbai. “This yatra will pass through Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra,” Congress said.
During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Gandhi had raised the issues of economic inequality, raised voice against social polarization and made people aware about the political dictatorship and in the Bharat Nyay Yatra, the issues for economic justice, for social justice and for political justice will be raised. Its objective is to save democracy, to save the Constitution, and to instill confidence in a bright future among the crores of families suffering from inflation and unemployment, the Congress stated.
The first Bharat Jodo Yatra was undertaken to connect India. Now Bharat Nyaya Yatra is to assure the people on behalf of the Congress Party, on behalf of Rahul Gandhi, that the Congress Party is committed to ensure that economic justice, social justice and political justice are fully available to the common people, it added.
