The District Administration Longleng in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Corporation (ALIMCO) distributed Assistive aids to the beneficiaries of Longleng town under Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) scheme, on June 13, informed a DIPR report. The items distributed were of two categories – Generic items like walking stick, elbow crutch, hearing aids, Artificial dentures, tripods/tetrapod’s and special items like wheelchairs, chair with commode, silicon foam cushion, spinal support, Lumbosacral belt (LS).

The beneficiaries of (RSY) scheme are senior citizens (Above 60 years) belonging to BPL category which aims to improve their social and economic life. The implementing agency i.e. ALIMCO will provide one year free maintenance of the aids and assisted devices supplied by them. The distribution programme was managed by the EAC, Longleng, Vitolu Chishi.
