Dr Huskha Yepthomi’s contributions will be dearly remembered: CM Rio offers condolences to family of NPF’s Working President

Dr Huskha Yepthomi, the Working President of Naga People’s Front (NPF) passed away on 21st May 2024 in Dimapur. He was 83.

In a message, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family of Dr Yepthomi’s contributions and stated that his demise is a great loss, especially for the Naga People’s Front party, the Nagas and the Sumi community in particular.

CM Rio stated that Dr Yepthomi was “a sincere and passionate leader who genuinely cared for the welfare of the people, especially those in the marginalised section”. Rio mentioned that Dr Yepthomi would be dearly remembered by all who crossed paths with him.

Deputy Chief Minister, Yanthungo Patton too expressed his sadness and extended his condolence to Dr Huskha Yepthomi’s loved ones.

“He was a stalwart of regional politics whose service to the people of Nagaland and beyond was remarkable,” Patton said.

Leader of the NPF Legislature Party, Kezholuzo Nienu conveyed deepest condolences and remarked that the NPF Working President is “considered as one of the tallest Leaders of the Grand Old Party.”

Temjen Imna Along, Minister for Tourism and Higher Education, Salhoutunuo Kruse, Minister for Women Resource Development & Horticulture, and Moatoshi Longkumer, Advisor for Labour, Employment & Skill Development and Excise, too conveyed their condolences.
