IPS officer Dr Pritpal Kaur conferred International Women in Social Impact Award 2023

Longleng: IIWA recognises, honours individuals with exceptional calibre, outstanding performance, and extraordinary talent

For going an extra mile beyond the call of duty and contributing towards change and upliftment in the society, Dr Pritpal Kaur, a dentist turned IPS has yet again brought laurels to the Nagaland as she brought home the prestigious ‘Inspirational Women in Social Impact Award’ by the 4th International Inspirational Women Awards (IIWA)-2023.

Speaking to Nagaland Tribune, Kaur expressed that it was “very encouraging for officers who work day and night even at last corners of India.”

Dr Pritpal Kaur during her service as SP Noklak made exemplary contributions in various fields for the upliftment of the community among which are coaching classes for NPSC and  UPSC aspirants, livelihood training to drug addicts and their counseling, career guidance to children, training in farming, biodiversity and environment protection, war against drugs, continuous drugs raid, Guidance against tobacco, HIV, intoxications,  helps in children home, formation of SHGs and their value addition training, education at all the levels and promotion of sports and provision of sports equipment for students.

Currently posted as the Superintendent of Police (SP), Longleng, she has started Free coaching classes for UPSC/NPSC and other departmental exams at Longleng. The class begins from 6:30 am to 10:00 am at PSC conference hall in coordination with Phom students conference union. Kaur along with Dr. Samuel EAC LLG and Lenke from department of art and Culture takes the classes where free study materials and test papers are also provided.

IIWA is an international initiative by the GISR Foundation to recognise and honour individuals with exceptional calibre, outstanding performance, and extraordinary talent as a researcher, academicians, mentors, advisors, trainers, and thought leaders. The award ceremony was held on 17 June 2023 at Delhi, India.

Deputy Chief Minister, Nagaland, Y. Patton, in a tweet, also congratulated the officer for the award.
