A district-level stakeholder consultation on Viksit Nagaland 2047 was successfully held at the DPDB Hall, Kiphire, with active participation from government departments, civil society organizations, NGOs, private sector, and community groups.
The programme began with registration and networking, bringing together diverse stakeholders to share ideas and perspectives. Deputy Commissioner, Temsuwati Longkumer delivered the welcome address and also presented an overview of the Viksit Nagaland 2047 vision, highlighting the importance of inclusive and forward-looking planning.
The workshop was moderated by Takatemjen Pongen, NCS, Extra Assistant Commissioner (Development), HQ Kiphire, who guided the sessions and discussions throughout the programme. Officials from the Planning Department and representatives from NIoT Shillong were also present and contributed to the consultation.

A sectoral assessment was presented by Er Heoka Sumi, SDO PHED Kiphire, covering key development areas under five major pillars economic, social, environmental, infrastructure, and governance.
Participants later divided into thematic groups to discuss key issues such as achievements over the past decade, existing gaps, future priorities, and the needs of remote and marginalized communities.
During the plenary session, each group shared their findings and recommendations. An open forum followed, allowing participants to voice additional suggestions and ideas.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and plans for compiling the district report. The district administration noted that the consultation was highly proactive, participative, and productive, setting a strong example for other districts, and expressed appreciation to all participants for their valuable contributions.
