Kiruphema Youth Organisation 50th anniversary celebration underway

The Kiruphema Youth Organisation (KYO) is celebrating its 50th anniversary celebration starting from December 17 to 21, 2024 from Kiruphema Ground marking five decades of youth unity and community spirit.

The celebration features a wide array of traditional wrestling, games and athletic events with 8 peer groups participating, showcasing sportsmanship, teamwork, and cultural pride, attracting the local community and neighboring areas.

The inaugural ceremony on December 17 was honored by the presence of Nagaland’s first woman Cabinet Minister, Salhoutuonuo Kruse as the special guest, who currently serves as Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture.

The closing ceremony will be held on December 21, 2024, graced by Dzüvi-u Zhünyü, President of the Western Angami ‘D’ Public Organisation and former KYO President, who will conclude the event with reflections on KYO’s journey and aspirations for the future, informed the Publicity committee.
