Deputy Commissione,r Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS has issued an order stating that based on the recommendation of NHIDCL, maximum total vehicle weight (with load) over NH-02 in Kohima District is restricted to 30 tonnes.

The DC also stated that in pursuant to work & safety report received from NHIDCL and a meeting held on movement of HMVs over NH-02 at Deputy Commissioner’s Office Kohima, vehicle axle restriction on HMVs plying over NH-02 in Kohima District has been lifted with immediate effect.

In another Order, the DC said that in view of the upgradation of existing pavement at Box Cutting Road, the aforementioned stretch of road shall be closed for normal vehicular traffic with effect from 20th November 2024 to 27th November 2024. Vehicles shall be allowed to ply in the alternate routes adjacent to the Box Cutting road.
