The Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) has warned against unethical business practices where traders are hiking prices of essential commodities.
The MCCI informed that certain traders in Mokokchung town are exploiting the current situation created by the ongoing truckers’ strike, engaging in unethical business practices by unjustifiably raising prices of essential commodities.
“Let it be known that such malpractices are not tolerated in Mokokchung. Therefore, business traders involved in these questionable practices are instructed to immediately cease and desist from such illegitimate actions. These are challenging times, and as responsible citizens, we should be assisting our valued customers rather than exploiting them,” stated the MCCI President Tsukti Longkumer.
