The Midan Peyu of the Sumi Region has declared its allegiance to the leadership of Kedahge NNC/FGN Brig. (Retd) S. Singnya and denounced the statements of Zhopra Vero considering it invalid.

In a press release, the Midan Peyu of the Sumi Region informed that it convened a joint meeting on October 25, 2024 with all the Sumi Kilonsers, Deputy Kilonsers, Tatars, Secretaries, Naga Army officers and other ranks and file to deliberate the issue on impeachment of Zhopra Vero, Kedallo from the NNC/FGN on October 22 by the centre, at Sanglao village.

“The Sumi Region after a brief discussion unanimously took an allegiance to fully support His Excellency Brig. (Retd) S. Singnya, the Kedahge NNC/FGN. The Sumi Region highly denounce and declares the Zhopra Vero’s press statement that appeared on 21st October, 2024 in local newspapers as “Null and Void”, as it was beyond the Yehzabo of Nagaland,” stated the press release.

The Sumi Region, on behalf of the government, has appealed to all the Naga people not to be confused by the NNC/FGN led Brig. (Retd) S. Singnya in all political matters “as he stands wholeheartedly from the beginning till date for resolving the Naga political issues with the government of India (GoI) at the earliest”.
