In a disturbing event, a newborn was found dead in the washroom of a nursing home in Wokha.

According to sources, the mother is suspected to have carried out the gruesome act on 22nd September 2024 around 8:00 pm at the hospital’s washroom. The body of the baby was later discovered by one of the hospital’s sweepers while cleaning the premise.

The incident has triggered public outrage, with the story rapidly spreading on social media. The Lotha Eloe Hoho has strongly condemned the crime, calling for swift justice and urging authorities to take immediate action.

However, police officials have stated that the investigation is ongoing and they will release an official statement only after completing their inquiry.
