Several people were awarded by the Chief Minister for their distinguished service on the 77th Independence Day celebration at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza on Monday in Kohima.

As announced on Republic Day 2023 earlier this year, the Governor’s Gold Medal was awarded to Tiakaba Yimkhiung, Jr Engineer (MIS) office of the E.E Transmission Division, Dimapur, Dr Anungla Imdong Phom, Addl Director, DUDA and Aotula T. Imchen, IPS, SP Mokokchung.

As announced on Independence Day 2022 the Governor’s Gold Medal was handed over to Rajkumar M. IFS DFO, Kohima, Er. Kewizun Zeliang, NPS, Addl SP (Comm)NPTO, Er. Y. Akito Sema, E.E Electrical division, Dimapur and Dr. Nyanthung Kikon, Dy. Director and State Nodal officer, Integrated Disease Surveillance Program.

The Nagaland Governor’s Commendation Certificate recipients were Nockpai Konyak, SDO (C) Sadar, Kohima, Wangtok Chingmak, SDAO, DAO Tuensang, Dr. Akaho Sema, Dy. CMO Zunheboto, Er. Nounesenuo S. Iralu, Dy. Project Director, Planning & Transformation, Tsupithong Y. As announced on Republic Day 2022 the Correctional Service Medal for meritorious service was awarded to Dr. Oben Yanthan, Jailer, Central Jail, Dimapur.

The Asadharan Aasuchana Kushalta Padak, 2021 was awarded to K. Poman Konyak, Havildar, (Special branch) INT Esst. Nagaland.
