The cadets of the 1 Nagaland Girls Battalion NCC celebrated Parakram Diwas to commemorate the 128th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on 23 January 2024 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalay, Niuland and Delhi Public School, Dimapur.
The event at JNV Niuland was graced by Commanding Officer, 1 Nagaland Battalion NCC, as the Chief Guest, the PRO & Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh informed. The press release also mentioned that the junior wing cadets of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalay, Niuland had decorated the school campus with tricolour for the event which began with paying tributes to Netaji by lighting the auspicious lamp and floral offerings.
A quiz on the life and achievements of Netaji was conducted by the cadets. A poem in hindi was also read out in his honour. The National Flag was unfurled with a resounding rendition of the National Anthem by the school assembly.
At DPS Dimapur, cadets of Junior Wing enlightened the students on the achievements of Netaji, followed by enactment and slogan raising by all freedom fighters. They showcased the Jhansi Brigade actions of the Indian National Army (INA). The school assembly was choreographed with by spreading awareness on the importance of the Parakram Diwas.
