Nagaland Postal Division conducts Dak Community Development Programme at Longsa Village in Wokha

The Nagaland Postal Division held the Dak Community Development Programme (DCDP) “A Financial Literacy cum Awareness Campaign” at Longsa Village Council Hall, Wokha on 15th December 2023. The programme was aimed at raising awareness about the number of schemes available and offered by the postal department.

During the event, Rajani Jha, Sub-divisional Inspector, Kohima Sub Division expressed gratitude to the Longsa Village and appreciated the attendees for their presence. She emphasized on the importance of this campaign, encouraging them to seek information and assured assistance with their concerns.

Benjamin Debbarma, Development Officer, Kohima DO during the briefing on Postal Products highlighted on the importance of postal products and its benefits. He also discussed on life insurances, and outlined schemes available to different age groups for public benefit.

Ankit Kumar Jha, Executive, India Post Payments Bank, Wokha, discussed on India Post Payment Bank’s cost-effectiveness, easy payment management, simplicity, security, and doorstep banking. He also emphasized on Child Aadhaar enrolment which is possible through IPPB.

On behalf of the Dignitaries, Dr Wonjano E Enny, District Mission Coordinator, highlighted the available schemes for pregnant women, such as Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana while simplifying the application process. She also urged the attendees to avail the government scheme benefits.

After the campaign, an IPPB Camp for DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) Beneficiaries in schemes like Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) and job cards was conducted for the attendees.

The programme was chaired by Ratseno Ngullie and vote of thanks was delivered by Sharon Losu, Marketing Executive, DO Kohima.
