The Nagaland Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee has expressed shock and condemnation at the defamatory accusations levelled against its party leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi by MP (Rajya Sabha) S Phangnon Konyak.

“This malicious attempt by the Hon’ble lady MP to malign and smear the reputation and integrity of our leader Shri. Rahul Gandhi based on blatant lies and fabricated charges will not be tolerated at any cost,” stated the Committee.

Considering the accusations as a serious libellous allegation against its leader, the Committee urged the Rajya Sabha MP to “think twice before levelling such damning accusations without verifiable evidence to support her claims”.
