The Nagaland Transparency Public Rights Advocacy and Direct Action Organisation (NTPRADAO) has impeached its own members for tarnishing the image of the organisation.

The Organisation expressed shock over “very disturbing, diabolical and sinister move” by certain founding members of NTPRADAO “- Keduta Chakesang, Phemching Konyak, Zuchamo Patton, Temjenmar, Albert Kire, and Ikato Zhimomi stating that they have distanced themselves and the organisation away from allegations against PHED; as per media reports in some dailies on dated 16th Dec. 2024.”

The NTPRADAO with “Its original and fully intact Office- bearers, Advisors, CCM’s and Executive Members” has collectively and unanimously condemned the self vested interest gimmicks by the members.

The NTPRADAO informed that on October 23, 2024 in a unanimous decision, already impeached Ikato Zhimomi, General Secretary (public policy), Albert Kire, General Secretary and Temjenmar, Executive Member for “falsely tarnishing the image of the organisation due to some illegal undue pressure from outside forces; as was widely published and circulated both in print media and audio-video news channel”.

“Therefore , these three are ‘persona non grata’ and expelled members having no locus standing in present context of NTPRADAO affairs,” it stated in a press release issued today.

“Subsequently, former President Keduta Chakesang and former General Secretary Zuchamo Patton has already tendered their resignations from the NTPRADAO beforehand, making them too ‘persona non grata’ and having no direct role in functioning of NTPRADAO affairs as per their self imposed resignations. The NTPRADAO herein states that it’s current charge set of officials do hereby unanimously and collectively “expel and impeach President Phemching Konyak on grounds of Anti- Organisational activities” and “for hobnobbing with expelled and resigned elements of NTPRADAO”. The expulsion of Phemching Konyak will stand indefinitely for a prolong duration, basing on his appointment notification on dated 1 8th October, 2024 which stated “appointed as President till the time he enjoys the confidence of the organisation”, as published in print media,” added the press release.

The Organisation further stated that the former members are liable for legal actions and proceedings for tarnishing a reputable and innocent member’s public image and additionally for tarnishing the good image of the organisation as per  defamation law.

“The NTPRADAO “Unflinchingly Vow and Promise” that it shall never succumb to  undue pressure tactics from any external forces while fighting against corruptions and human right issues and vow to not let the organisation be hijack by some unscrupulous and selfish vested interest. The NTPRADAO will defend its organisational existence even legally in a court of law if need arises and go to any length to defend its base, core values and independent identity. The NTPRADAO most importantly through a “unanimous voice vote” do hereby  elect it’s present Advisor Shri. Mhabemo Lotha and formally/officially appoints him to the post of President, NTPRADAO w.e.f 17th December, 2024 till the time he enjoys the complete confidence of the organisation,” stated the Organisation.
