The Razeba Town Chakhesang Students’ Union (RTCSU) held its 26th General Session with Er. Daniel Krocha, Deputy Director, Department of Information Technology & Communication as the Guest Speaker at Razeba Local Ground on December 27.

Speaking on the theme “Exploring new perspectives; Embracing diverse viewpoints”, Er. Daniel Krocha dwelt on how embracing diversity through humility and courage can propel growth and prosperity of a people.

He said that when one steps out of their comfort zones and view the world through others’ eyes, they discover that differences are not threats but opportunities.

Citing Israel as a remarkable example of how exploring diverse perspectives and embracing differences can lead to extraordinary growth, he said that, “despite being a small nation with limited natural resources, Israel has risen to become a global leader in innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship.”

He stated that Razeba Town can adopt Israel’s approach to really prosper and succeed while pointing out that although it is small, “it does not lack in terms of talent and is the only cosmopolitan place in the region.”

Razeba, he asserted can become a vibrant economic ecosystem if they are able to take advantage of what is happening around them.

Stating that for anyone going to Kapamodzü for tourism or for all the trucks/mini trucks going to carry cabbages from Zhavame or other agricultural products from Zelome, he said that they have to pass through Razeba.

“Can we take advantage of that and create a business ecosystem?” he posed while highlighting that “it can start with a simple tea shop, a pan shop, a tyre repair shop, a workshop, etc.”

With one business, he further noted that “it will create employment and also create other businesses.” He also challenged the gathering to step outside their comfort zones, seek out conversations with those who think differently and read about cultures and ideas they may not fully understand.

“Be open to changing your mind, and in doing so, you might discover not just new perspectives—but a better version of yourself”, he remarked.
