The Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto has informed that the stretch of road from Zunheboto town to Satakha town shall remain closed for all forms of traffic movement till further notice from today.

A press release from the DC, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS has stated that “in view of the massive landslide between Zunheboto town and Satakha town along Zunheboto- Chakabama two-lane road and in order to facilitate early clearance of debris and as a precautionary measure, to prevent any injury and loss of lite. the stretch of road from Zunheboto town to Satakha town shall remain closed for all forms of traffic movements till further order.”

Anyone wishing to travel from Zunheboto to Kohima/Dimapur or Vice versa has been advised to take alternative routes via Zungti- Kandinyu or Zhekiye- Ghukiye- Xuivi- Kohima JN or Suruhoto- Alichen/Yangli Road.
