Special Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, Dr. Sajjan Singh Yadav, IAS visited Nagaland on April 27. He is on a two-day official tour to the state to carry out inspection of projects implemented under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme in Chumoukedima.

On his arrival at Dimapur Airport, Dr Yadav was received by Additional Secretary, Finance & IDAN, Vineet Kumar, IAS and other officials. He proceeded to Chumoukedima and inspected projects at the Police Complex, including the Officers’ Mess and Football Stadium constructed under various phases of the SASCI scheme.

He also inspected the Unity Mall project and visited the Chumoukedima Police Station, where barracks and Type-III quarters constructed under SASCI 2023–24 were reviewed.

During the inspection, Dr Yadav was accompanied by the Finance Commissioner and Commissioner & Secretary to the Chief Minister, Nagaland, Kesonyu Yhome, IAS along with other senior officials. He interacted with the officials at the project sites and reviewed the status of the ongoing works.

The visit was undertaken to assess implementation of projects and review utilisation of funds under centrally supported schemes in the State.
