On Friday, the Chang Wedoshi Setshang, along with the students of Sao Chang College, Tuensang, staged a peaceful protest with regards to its unfulfilled demand for a college bus.

Led by the Chang Students’ Union, the students marched for around 8 kilometres from clock tower to the College. A short program was held Sao Change College where the president of CWS highlighted the cause of the issue pertaining to the ongoing agitation, referring to the unfulfilled promise made by the Minister of Higher and Technical Education.

The student body has affirmed that it will carry on with its agitation until its demands are met with. CWS also asserted that its agitation will not hamper the academia of the students unless the confederation is forced upon to do so.

It may be mentioned that the Chang Wedoshi Setsang and the Sao Chang College Students’ Union carried out a massive protest in October 2023 that went to the extend of shutting down all government offices in Tuensang. Eventually, the agitation was called off after the State government assured to address its demands including the bus issues.
