Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Mokokchung (Urban), organized by Mokokchung Municipal Council in collaboration with District Administration and Urban Development, Mokokchung was held in Mokokchung today with Thsuvisie Phoji, Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, as the Chief Guest.
In his address, DC Phoji emphasized on the importance of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra pledge, stating that it is not just an individual pledge but a commitment as citizens of India under the Government of India, which oversees programs and schemes benefiting everyone. He challenged individuals and citizens to contribute to the country at the ward, colony, village, district, state, and national levels.
DC Phoji urged the public to avail themselves of opportunities provided by various schemes, as the Prime Minister works to reach all levels of society with different facilities. He stressed the need for citizens to contribute to nation planning and building, challenging everyone to compete globally.
Vitolu, Extra Assistant Commissioner (HQ) chaired the program and delivered the welcome address. He explained that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra aims to raise awareness about centrally sponsored schemes. Efforts are made to sensitize the public about the benefits of these schemes, with proof and evidence required for the Central government to assess success.
He reported that out of 58 villages in Mokokchung, 57 under Rural were covered under the program, including Tuli Town, Mangkolemba Town, and Mokokchung Town under Urban. The ADC also informed that the concern departments are collaborating with village councils and Fair Price Shops for schemes like Ujjwala Yojana (Gas Agency) and urged the beneficiaries to go to their respective village councils and Fair Price Shop for further details.
The event included the screening of PM SVANidhi IEC Video, On-Spot Registration & Services Bharat, Registration of Ayushman, Biometric Authentication, Aadhar Updation, PM SVANidhi Registration, Ujjwala Yojana (Gas Agency), Recorded Message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sankalp (Pledge) Video for Vikas Bharat, and the screening of the opening movie.
