District consultative workshop on Viksit Nagaland @2047 was held in Longleng on April 17 at DPDB hall, with all Heads of Offices, stakeholders and Civil Society Organisation. The programme was organised by the Government of Nagaland and the District Administration Longleng.

Deputy Commissioner, Longleng, W Manpai Phom, NCS, welcomed all participants and gave an overview of the Viksit Nagaland@2047 vision and said that while the Government of India and state government design schemes and projects, implementation takes place at the grassroots level. He observed that schemes often prove ineffective or difficult to implement locally because local perspectives and requirements are not incorporated during planning. Programmes designed for a pan-India context may not suit local conditions, he added.
