Along with the rest of the world, the Naga United village Dimapur in collaboration with the Naga United Village Council, Students’ Union, Youth society and Women society observed the World Environment Day to generate awareness for environmental protection.
The committee encouraged all citizens residing under its villages with the key points :
- Clean surroundings: The Committee urged its residents to take some time to clean up their immediate environment whether it’s picking up litter or simply ensuring a tidy home and their neighbourhood.

- Plant a sapling: To foster greener future, it encouraged every household to plant a sapling each, with the belief that trees not only beautify our surroundings but also play a crucial role in improving air quality, supporting local wildlife and by providing shade, and comfort during the hot summer.
“By working together, we can create a healthier more sustainable environment for ourselves and future generations,” mentioned the Committee.
