The Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS) on Tuesday organized a thanksgiving programme titled “FNTA Hapbü Shanga – Nyensang Kubü Lamthen” at Town Hall, Tuensang, expressing gratitude and reaffirming support for the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA).
The programme was attended by apex bodies of the Chang community, church leaders and members of the public.
H Wongto, Executive Secretary of CKS, chaired, while the Chang Wedoshi Setshang presented the Chang anthem. An invocation was pronounced by Rev H Sangkap, Pastor of Tuensang Town Baptist Lashong.
In his address on the FNTA, N Sipong, Vice President of CKS, highlighted the significance of the development and acknowledged the collective efforts of the people.
A Chingmak, President of the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO), also addressed the gathering and stated that the detailed provisions of the FNTA agreement would be disclosed during the dedication ceremony of ENPO at its headquarters in Tuensang.
Speakers including I Lanuchuba, Vice President of CKS, and N Kaimang, President of Tuensang Village Citizens’ Union emphasized unity and cooperation among tribal bodies and stakeholders.
Former Minister, H Chuba and former Parliamentary Secretary, Toyang Changkong reflected on the long journey that led to the present stage and called for continued solidarity.
Short speeches were delivered by L Mongsen, Executive Chairperson of Changsao Thangjam Setshang, Er P Ngamen, President of Chang Gazetted Officers’ Association and C Pongsu, President of CWS. Rev Achu, Executive Secretary of Chang Baptist Lashong Thangyen, delivered a message of dedication. The programme concluded with remarks from CN Yanchu, Vice President of CKS, and a closing prayer by Rev. W Kaimang, Pastor of Sangsangnyu.
Song presentations by Lole Band and SON-4 were also part of the programme. Organizers described the gathering as a thanksgiving offering and a reaffirmation of the Chang community’s commitment to the aspirations associated with the FNTA.
USLP:

The United Sangtam Likhum Pümji (USLP) held a public thanksgiving program on singing of FNTA agreement today at Public ground Kiphire.
The thanksgiving program was attended by all public, civil organizations, Churches from across all Sangtam jurisdiction.
Speaking on the matter of FNTA, Tsapikyü Sangtam, former president ENPO lauded the public and all civil organization and churches for their sincere prayers and support of the cause.
Extending gratitude to the Government of India and State government under CM Rio, he encouraged the people of ENPO to join heart’s and mind to build the people and region for better, without any prejudice and corruption.

K Asungba Sangtam and K Aliba Sangtam President USLP also extended their encouragement and wisdom for the better of ENPO and Naga society as a whole.
The program was led by Island peace Yangthsaba, joint secretary, USLP, with invocation from Chopongkyu Pastor KTBL, welcome address from Selongba Sangtam Executive Chairman USLP, Folk song from Kiphire Area mother’s Union.
A special prayer of thanksgiving and blessings was led by Rev Imtiba Sangtam ES, USBLA, special number from Leochum V Thonger.
Special emphasis on FNTA talks was delivered by K Asüngba Sangtam Team ENPO, R Tsapikyü Sangtam former president ENPO and K Aliba Sangtam President USLP.
Short speeches were delivered by Adekhing Sangtam President USSC, Y Sethrongba Sangtam VP, ENSF, K Tsilise Sangtam President KDGBSA, Thsadila Sangtam President AST, Asangla Cholong, Imlikumzük President USGOU, V Kashiho Sangtam Ex-Minister, Müthingnyuba Sangtam, Ex-MLA and Yangseo Sangtam Ex-Deputy Speaker GoN.
The program was concluded with vote of thanks from Kipitong Sangtam VP, USLP and benediction from Litho Sangtam Associate Secretary Youth USBLA, sub-Center Kiphire.
