Judicious use of AI in Academic for students learning seminar held at Baptist College Kohima

A one day session on “Judicious use of AI in Academic for students learning” was conducted at Baptist college kohima on March 21. The session was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with YouthNet and the Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship.

The seminar aimed to educate students on how ethically and effectively use Artificial intelligence AI for academic purposes. The event was a part of the college initiatives to bridge the gap between traditional learning and modern technology driven and entrepreneurial skill sets.

Dieze Khamo, Program Associate (Entrepreneurship) from YouthNet, engaged the students in an interactive discussion on how AI can be used as a tool to enhance learning, improve, productivity and support academic growth without compromising critical thinking and originality.

Emphasis was placed on the importance of ethical usage of AI, where the resource person encouraged students to verify information, avoid over dependence and use AI as a support systems rather than a replacement for learning. The session highlighted a key message with “use AI- don’t let AI use you”

In addition to AI awareness, students were encouraged to explore entrepreneurship as a career pathway, where various programs and initiatives offered by YouthNet were shared. Further, insights into opportunities available for young aspiring entrepreneurs were provided to develop their ideas and ventures.

The session witnessed active participation from students making it a meaningful and insightful learning experience. Such initiatives continue to play a vital role in equipping students with the knowledge and skills required to navigate the evolving digital and entrepreneurial landscape.
