The District Economics & Statistics Office (DESO), Peren organised a programme for distribution of IT tools and equipment under Birth & Death Registration, based on Aadhar enrollment initiative on April 20 at their office premises.
Secretary, Economics & Statistics and Chief Registrar of Birth & Death, Akunu S Meyase, IAS, present brief information on the Digitization process in the state. Meanwhile the Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru encouraged the gathering to adopt technology to bring the best improved upgraded networking facilities in the district.
Director, Economics and Statistics Cum Additional Chief Registrar of Birth & Death, Neidilhou Keditsu informed that India has started ORGI digitalization since 2014, while our state has implemented only in the year 2024. She also informed that only 300 villagers from Nagaland were selected in the first phase programme.

During the programme, IT Equipment such as computer sets was distributed and handed over to 21 villagers in the district.
SDO Civil Peren, Imtilong Ojukum also expressed his gratitude and encouraged the department to upgrade the facilities in registering birth and death records in the district. The programme was chaired by DESO Peren, Vikeyielenuo Chielie.
