A 30-year-old man identified as Nzanthung Kikon was found dead in an apparent case of suicide at a rented house near the Fishery area in Tsumang A, Wokha, on June 25.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP) Wokha, Biren Lotha, confirmed that police received information about the incident at around 1:50 p.m. Following the report, police personnel rushed to the scene and initiated the necessary legal procedures.

According to police, the deceased was found hanging inside the rented accommodation where he had been residing. Police informed that no foul play was suspected in connection with the death, and the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.

Police informed that the deceased was divorced and had no children.

The family declined to conduct a post-mortem examination. After completion of the required formalities, the body was handed over to the family members for the last rites.
