Poster making competition on Heat Wave Safety was conducted at Government Higher Secondary School, Pungro, Kiphire on July 6, to spread awareness about heat wave and its adverse effect on health.
Participants were divided into small groups and provided with chart papers and art supplies where they translated safety protocols into visual formats and teachers encouraged them with guidance and feedback.
The competition was judged on how well the groups illustrated core heatwave safety themes into visual representation. Some vital parameters to keep in mind included hydration, sun protection, peak hour safety (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.), recognizing heat stroke symptoms. The winners of the poster making competition shall be announced after the summer break.
