The Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) has extended financial assistance of ₹30,000 to support families affected by the recent floods in Tuli subdivision, reaffirming its commitment to community welfare during times of crisis.

The donation was handed over to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Tuli, during a meeting with the ADC and the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), where the prevailing flood situation was reviewed. Officials informed the delegation that numerous families have been affected by the floods, while the district administration, line departments and civil society organisations are working together to restore normalcy and provide relief.

Expressing solidarity with the affected families, AKM appreciated the tireless efforts of the administration, government departments and civil society organisations in responding to the disaster.

The financial assistance was provided through the AKM Free Coaching and Relief Fund Committee, established in 2024. The fund was created from proceeds generated during the successful “We Care 5” Charity Concert held at the Public Ground in 2024.

AKM stated that since its inception, the committee has remained dedicated to assisting families affected by natural calamities and other emergencies. It added that the latest contribution reflects the organisation’s continued commitment to serving the community and standing with those in need during difficult times.
