The Mokokchung District Two Wheeler Taxi Association held its General Meeting on September 5 at the residence of the Treasurer. The meeting was attended by permit holders and riders of the association.

Addressing the gathering, Treasurer, I Yanger Lemtur exhorted the members to strictly abide by the constitution of the association and discharge their duties with dignity, integrity and a sense of responsibility towards the public.

The meeting also resolved to make the wearing of uniforms and helmets compulsory for all two-wheeler taxi riders. The decision was taken with the objective of promoting discipline, professionalism and safety among riders while providing better service to the public. During the meeting, office bearers for the 2026–2028 tenure were also nominated.

The Association reiterated its commitment to maintaining discipline among its members and providing safe, responsible and dignified transportation services to the people of Mokokchung.
