The Nagaland Pickleball Association (NPA) held its General Annual Meeting on 16 August 2026 to review the Association’s achievements over the past year and outline its priorities for the development of pickleball across Nagaland.

The meeting reviewed the growth of the sport, tournaments conducted during the previous year, and the need for more structured competitions, improved player tracking, and wider participation.

A key development from the meeting was the establishment of a formal state-level ranking and digital tournament system. FLEG has been designated as the official digital partner for rankings, tournament registration, scoring, and event management, supporting a more transparent and structured sporting ecosystem.

FLEG operates as a sports-tech ecosystem connecting players, venues, coaches, and tournaments across Nagaland and Northeast India.

The NPA further discussed strengthening standards for participating courts, developing qualified referees through certification, and engaging court owners through a dedicated consultation.

For the upcoming season, the NPA discussed two official state events in Kohima and Dimapur, tentatively targeted for the end of September and October. The Association also discussed plans to send selected players to the IPA Nationals, with greater emphasis on player preparation, competitive exposure, and internal competition. The Nagaland team selections will be held in the month of October, necessary details will be shared in the days to come.

Grassroots development was identified as another major priority, with plans to approach schools, explore MoUs with educational institutions, and promote talent identification and youth participation.

The Association also proposed coaching certification programmes and women’s coaching clinics alongside the proposed September-end/October PWR tournament, subject to the availability of qualified coaches.

To maintain coordination and accountability, the NPA resolved to conduct monthly meetings, either online or in person, to review progress and follow up on ongoing initiatives.

The General Annual Meeting concluded with a commitment to building a more structured, competitive, inclusive, and sustainable pickleball ecosystem in Nagaland.
