Kohima District Basketball Association holds open trials

The Kohima District Basketball Association (KDBA) has conducted the open trials on September 19 to select players for the upcoming Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2026 scheduled to be held from November 2 to 14.

A total of 61 players including 19 female and 42 male basketball players had registered for the open trials conducted at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Basket Ball Court, Kohima.

Out of 61 registered, 24 players – 12 each for men and women, have been selected for the Olympic games.

Earlier, Father Innocent SDB pronounced the opening prayer. Khrielasakuo Keretsü, President  KDBA and Thejanguzo Pienyü, Secretary KDBA welcomed and briefed the players.

Details of the 24 selected players would be announced in the coming week.
