Singrep village students’ union celebrated its golden jubilee from 27 to 29 December in Singrep village, Kiphire.
Rev Y Imtiba, Executive secretary, USBLA, Yangli and R Tsapikyu Sangtam, President, ENPO unveiled the jubilee monolith.
Speaking at the programme vice president USSC, Sethrongba encouraged the villagers as well as the student community to live in peace and harmony and added that the student body should be the pioneer of peace and prosperity for the village.
R Tsapikyu Sangtam, stated that the ENPO Statehood demand is in good hands and the people should continuously uphold this in their prayers.

He also said all the development activities will come only when there is peace and unity in the village.
Sangtam further encouraged all the village elders to also focus on women empowerment stating that when a woman is well educated through her the coming generations will prosper better.
He expressed that this golden jubilee is a time to count one’s blessings in terms of government development, education or village administration and thank God for his continuous shower of love towards the village.
Singrep Village Students’ Union also presented a Mithun to the president to symbolise unity.
On 29 December, John Tsulise Sangtam, addl Secretary R D, Nagaland graced the event as the speaker.

In his speech, Sangtam appraised the pioneers of the union while acknowledging the short comings and hardships to reach this point.
Sangtam also thanked God for leading the union and the village in reaching this milestone.
He further emphasised on success referring to the jubilee theme ‘know and win’ and shared with the students that success is the fulfilment of one’s own commitment.
He encouraged the students to become good leaders of today and tomorrow and amidst this, to look back at their own roots and respect their parents in their search for success.
