Kyupise Sangtam, Traders Cell Convenor BJP Nagaland and president of the All Nagaland Solar Contractors Union, graced the 28uba Seyochung Area Students’ Union as the chief guest at Thsingar village on 5 January.

Sangtam, in his speech, emphasised on education, stating that it is an all-round development. It is not only how we perceive it in quantity but it is based on quality, he stated.

He encouraged the students by stating that though one may face different kinds of struggles with many unseen problems, one should not drown in failures but instead have determination and faith towards one’s vision. ”Let your pain turn it into success,” he said.

Sangtam further advised the students not to indulge in intoxicants and cautioned them from becoming addicted to social media.

He also addressed the parents and said it is important for parents to support the dreams of their children, moulding them according to their potentials and interests, and guiding them to achieve their goals.

Sangtam asserted that success and victory is not only about getting through the NPSC or UPSC exams. There are different fields and areas where one can excel and bring glory and name to the community, he stated, adding that to do so, one should get out of the comfort zone and push oneself to make it happen.

The chief guest ended his speech by quoting “Follow a visionary leader. If you want to be a good leader, be a good follower first.”
