A six-year-old boy from Nokiyan village in Mon district sustained a gunshot wound on Sunday and was rushed to the Assam Rifles camp in the area for medical assistance.
Sources informed that the boy was injured as a result of accidental firearm discharge when the boy’s father was loading his air rifle for hunting.
The family took the injured child to the Assam Rifles camp, Platoon Operating Base (PLOB), Nokiyan where the Nursing Assistant of 14 AR provided first-aid to the injured boy which turned to be life-saving.
