The eight tribal Hohos of Nagaland – Angami Public Organization (APO), Ao Senden, Chakhesang People’s Organization (CPO), Lotha Hoho, Pochury Hoho, Rengma Hoho, Sumi Hoho and Nagaland Zeliang People’s Organization – held a consultative meeting on 17 January at APO Hall in Kohima.
At the meeting, the eight tribal Hohos adopted a four-point resolution which was signed by Vezuhu Keyho, sessional chairman and CPO president, and Dr Vihuto Asumi, sessional secretary and Sumi Hoho general secretary.
The four-point resolution are as given below:
I. Any organisation that claims to represent and stand for the interests of the Nagas, should be routed and mandated through the tribal apex Hohos.
II. 8 tribal hohos of Nagaland demand to all the Naga political groups both underground and overground, to “come together” for an amicable political solution at the earliest.
III. 8 tribal hohos of Nagaland appeal to all the churches of Nagaland and beyond to pray for the unification and solution of the protracted Naga political issue on Sunday, January 22.
IV. 8 tribal hohos of Nagaland resolves to form a common apex body for the Nagas of Nagaland at the earliest time.
