Kamtapur Liberation Organisation chief and cadres surrender

Kohima: Sources informed that the KLO cadres headed by its chief were taking shelter in the eastern Myanmar region with the NSCN-K (Yung Aung) faction

In a joint operation of Central and Assam Rifles teams conducted against Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) on 17 January, ten cadres along with Jeevan Singha, chief of KLO and two deputy Commander in Chiefs (C-in-C) surrendered today.

Sources informed that the KLO cadres headed by its chief were taking shelter in the eastern Myanmar region with the NSCN-K (Yung Aung) faction.

The cadres had left from Hoyat village in Myanmar and surrendered.

As per sources, the KLO cadres were brought to Mon district in Nagaland and further handed over to the IB team in Guwahati.

Further, sources also informed that there are still some KLO cadres the joint operation team has not come across with as yet.
