The Dr N Toshimeren Memorial Boys Hostel at Oriental Theological College (OTC), Yangli, Tuensang was officially inaugurated on 19 January in the college campus.
The principal of OTC stated that the new hostel was inaugurated in the presence of the family members of the late Dr Toshimeren Sangtam, the USBLA staff, Board of Directors, OTC Alumni Office Bearers, GB’s Union Longkhim–Chare, pastors of Longkhim–Chare churches, students and well-wishers.
In a short speech, Tsakhumla, wife of the late Dr Toshimeren Sangtam, said it was the dream and prayer of her late husband to construct a guest house at Mission Centre Yangli. The construction of the hostel at OTC has made his dream come true, she stated.
Tsakhumla further encouraged the community to work tirelessly for the extension of God’s kingdom.
Liotong, vice-president of the GB’s Union Longkhim–Chare area, expressed heart-felt gratitude to the family members of the late Dr Toshimeren Sangtam for their wonderful cause towards the Sangtams in general and OTC in particular.
He also encouraged the students to be diligent and committed in their studies and other responsibilities.
The hostel was dedicated by Rev Y Imtiba Sangtam, executive secretary of USBLA Yangli.

The family members of the late Dr Toshimeren Sangtam donated the hostel in memory of their beloved father.
The college authority expressed deep gratitude to the donor’s family for the outstanding contribution towards the college and further wished them God’s abundant blessings.
The college further thanked all the participants and all those who were present at the inaugural function for making it a grand success.
The programme was chaired by senior lecturer Liyangpi. A song of thanksgiving was presented by the students of the college while the vote of thanks was given by Lemtsase, board of director member.
