Tragopan Club Viswema celebrated their 40th Club Day on 26 January at Rachii Panchayat Hall with Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, managing director of KOHIMAS Hospital, as the speaker.
Dr Rhutso stressed on the significance of unity, stating that unity is strength. He praised the club for preserving and promoting traditional games by organising the Nagaland Open Pcheda and Torii and also gave suggestions for the welfare of the club.
During the programme, a folk song competition was held in which Zake and Thelpsii Whe were adjudged the winner and presented with a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
Over 250 members of the club attended the 40th Club Day celebration.
The programme was chaired by Avitso Lcho, information and publicity secretary, while the invocation was pronounced by Dzuvingol Sothu, associate pastor of CRC Viswema.
