Anything is possible if there is Modi: Barla at 59th Seyochung-Simiti A/C BJP campaign kick-off programme

John Barla, Minister of State (MoS) for Minority Affairs told the people of 59th Seyochung-Simiti Assembly Constituency on Wednesday that anything is possible if there is Modi.

He made the statement at the BJP’s campaign kick-off programme for its candidate Kashiho Sangtam at Seyochung Town, Kiphire district, which was also attended by star campaigners Nalin Kohli, Y. Patton and Kazheto Kinimi.

Barla said that without political intervention, one cannot serve the people, and therefore urged the people to elect Sangtam.

If elected, he assured that BJP will bring development in the constituency. Barla said that the party will make residential educational institutions, from nursery to college, to provide quality education and free of cost if their candidate is elected. He also promised community halls and sheds.

The Union Minister encouraged the public and leaders to take advantage of the schemes made available under the Government of India. He urged all to be informed about these schemes by checking on the apps and websites.

Barla also reiterated that Bharatiya Janata Party is not anti-Christian and that he is a witness to it.

Nalin Kohli, National BJP spokesperson and in-charge of BJP Nagaland in his address said that Modi visiting the Northeast region over 50 times shows that PM is deeply concerned and dedicated in bringing the region to a new age of better development and progress.

He said that the core agenda of the party manifesto that JP Nadda, National President BJP, released on Tuesday were ‘Peace and Development’ in Nagaland.

“We want Nagaland to become an engine of economic growth”, Kohli said.

On Eastern Nagaland, he said that BJP is focused on working for the welfare of the area and is bringing a special package so that development can reach fast.

An Eastern Nagas development board will be set up and it will focus on working for the people of Eastern areas development under all sectors, the BJP spokesperson stated.

Observing the unique tribes and culture of Nagaland, the BJP also wants to set up Saramati Cultural University in Kiphire with a budget of 500 Crore if voted to power this election, he added.

To encourage sportspersons in the state, the party will also set up a Sports University, Kohli said.

Further he maintained that farmers’ income of Rs 6000 per annum will be increased to Rs 8000, if the BJP comes in power again.

Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton said with confidence that the BJP-NDPP alliance will form the next government and urged people to vote for BJP as it is a people’s party.

Kazheto Kinimi, the BJP candidate from Akuluto 31 A/C who won unopposed, said that he won uncontested because the people in his constituency saw the good heart of PM Modi and are seeing the good side of the party and putting their hopes and faith in the party.

He lauded Sangtam as a capable and responsible candidate and a public leader and therefore urged the gathering to be wise in their decision making for development and progress.

Kahisho Sangtam, the intending candidate of the BJP from 59th Seyochung-Simiti A/C said he stands for people, to voice out for the common public at cabinet level.

Sangtam further encouraged the people of Sumi and Sangtam under Kiphire to continue the spirit peace and brotherhood as we are all Nagas.

Speaking to Nagaland Tribune, Sangtam said his main area of focus if voted to power will be health, education, roads and human resources.

“I have a big hope in winning this election since I have work for my people’s development ” added Sangtam.

When asked about NBCC clean election campaign Sangtam said they are trying their best to abide by its principles.
