The Kohima Police on October 11 arrested a person belonging to NSCN (Khango) cadre. A press note issued by the Superintendent of Police, Kohima informed that, acting on a tipoff regarding an extortionist demanding money from business establishments in Kohima Town, one person identified as Vilhou, an NSCN (Khango) cadre was arrested.

The successful operation was conducted with the concerted effort by Kohima Police comprising of North PS, Mobile Unit, District Anti Extortion Team and IRB, led by SDPO (North) Kohima along with the local community members.

In this connection, a regular case has been registered vide North PS Case No. 0052/2023 U/S 384 IPC R/W Sec. 7 NSR and investigation taken up, informed the PRO DEF Kohima.
