GHSS Jalukie raises concerns on staff shortage

The Government Higher Secondary School Jalukie has highlighted a shortage of staff of both teaching and non-teaching staff which has affected the functioning of the institution.

These concerns were raised during the visit of Hiazu Meru NCS, the Additional Secretary of School Education, at the school on November 16, reported the DIPR. During the visit, the school’s Principal, Asenla Pongen, addressed the challenges the institution has faced for many years due to a persistent shortage of both teaching and non-teaching staff.

The Principal emphasized on how the scarcity of staff has adversely affected the seamless operation of the school. She shed light on the ongoing difficulties and their impact on the overall functioning of the educational institution.

In response, the Additional Secretary shared insights and experiences from visits to other schools. He acknowledged the concerns raised by the school authorities and assured them that the government would actively address these grievances. Following the meeting, an interaction session was conducted with the staff and members of the School Development and Management Committee (SDMC). Notably, an additional session was held with the students of Classes 10 and 12, providing them with an opportunity to engage with the visiting officials and share their perspectives on the educational environment.
