The Konyak Union (KU) has on Saturday issued an ‘Urgent Notice’ to retailers and distributers in Mon district in light of the ongoing ‘Public Emergency’ called by the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) in the Eastern Nagaland region to press the Government of India to settle the creation of Frontier Nagaland Territory.
The apex organisation of the Konyak tribe cautioned that “situation may deteriorate rapidly” and advised retailers and distributers to arrange adequate supply of goods, stating that it is “utmost necessary to be prepared for any eventuality that may arise.”
“… we urge you to take immediate action to ensure the sufficient stocking of essential supplies at your petrol pump, gas agency, Gala Maal (grocery store), and other stockiest in the Mon district,” KU advised the citizens in its ‘Urgent Notice.’

The Konyak Union appealed for support and proactive approach urged them “to maintain an adequate supply of goods implement measures to ensure the continuous availability of essential items despite any potential bans or disruptions that may occur to meet the needs of the community during this challenging time.”
