The Under-15 Open Futsal Tournament, organized by the Kichutip Sporting Association (KSA) under the aegis of the Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA), witnessed intense action today as all four quarterfinals and both semifinals were played, setting the stage for the grand finale. The final match will be played tonight at 7 p.m. at the Salangtem Futsal Turf Ground, where Vandrix FC (A) will take on ASFC Changtongya for the championship title.

In the first quarterfinal, Evergreen Club edged Revenant FC 2-1, with goals from Henguolen and Chuba helping them secure the win. Meyanungsang scored the lone goal for Revenant FC.

The second quarterfinal saw Vandrix FC (A) crush Titans with a massive 9-0 win, thanks to a dominant team performance led by Hasmai, Niputo, Sabaan, Rangsan and Asa.

Soyim Boys ‘A’ cruised past Sadong ‘A’ with a 5-0 win in the third quarterfinal, with Temsutoshi netting a brace and solid support from Langachang and Binpang.

In the fourth quarterfinal, ASFC Changtongya defeated Alempang Y/A 7-0, with Imtisungkum scoring twice and contributions from Moatemsu, Jongpongrepba, and Nsamlungbe.

Er. Taliwapang graced the first semi-final match as the Match Patron.The first semi-final saw Vandrix FC (A) edge past a spirited Evergreen Club 2-1. Hengoulen gave Evergreen a brief lead, but Vandrix bounced back with goals from Sabaan and Hasmai to clinch victory.

Vesupra Kezo, NPS, Superintendent of Police (SP), Mokokchung graced the occasion as the match patron for the second semi-final match.

In the second semi-final, ASFC Changtongya defeated Soyim Boys ‘A’ 2-0. Nsamlungbe was the star of the match, scoring both goals and leading his team into the final.

With both Vandrix FC (A) and ASFC Changtongya in top form, the final promises to be a thrilling encounter between two of the most consistent and attacking sides of the tournament. Fans are eagerly awaiting the decisive clash under the lights at Salangtem Futsal Turf Ground tonight.
