BJP central leaders welcome new members from Nagaland

A team of seven public figures from Nagaland who recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were formally received to the party-fold by BJP national General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh and national Secretary and Prabhari for Nagaland Anil K Antony on Monday at the party headquarters in New Delhi.

BJP state president Benjamin Yepthomi, who accompanied the new members to the central party headquarters said the joining of the new members marks a significant step in strengthening the BJP’s presence in the state and its commitment to the people of Nagaland.

The new members are former minister from Atoizu constituency Doshehe Yepthomi; former MLA from Akuluto constituency Khekaho Assumi; retired DIG Richard Yimto; former Sumi Hoho president and former Nagaland Tribes Council president Toniho Yepthomi; former Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation president Tsapikiu Sangtam; Nagaland Congress state secretary Wangka Konyak; and former DMC candidate Toshi Walling.

The team will meet the BJP national President JP Nadda on Tuesday, the state party unit informed.
