Phek DPDB meeting was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Phek on November 10, where the board discussed to observe the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the Ironman of India on November 1, 2025, by conducting oster making competition, followed by debate competition on November 10.
Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB, Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, who chaired the meeting, stated that two days Commemorative programs on Sardar@Unity March will be held in Phek town by organising a cleanliness drive on November 15.
In this regard, the DC urged all the government employees of various departments to actively participate in the mass participation. The DC also informed that the Patyatra:Sardar@Unity March Rally would be conducted in the district on November 19, where Government employees, Colony/Ward leaders, Students Community and general public will be participating in the event.
The board also decided to organise a pre Christmas Celebration program cum DPDB meeting on December 10. The representative from the Evaluation Department and Transport Department highlighted their departmental activities through power point.
Shamator:

The Shamator District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held at DB’s Conference hall, Shamator on November 10. The meeting was chaired by Athrong Yimchunger, SDO (C), Shamator.
The board discussed and forwarded the agenda for registration of societies namely Moyiyong Society Yakor, Rhimoru Welfare Society Shamator, and Shothrumla library foundation to the concerned Department. The board also approved construction of town hall at Chessore town and Engineer Institute/College at Mundun, under Sotokur EAC.
The house also discussed for allotment of land for construction of new government offices and quarter in the district.

Chümoukedima:

The monthly meeting of the Chümoukedima District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) was held on November 10 at the DC’s Conference Hall, Chümoukedima, under the Vice-chairmanship DPDB, Polan John (NCS) Deputy Commissioner.
Addressing the members, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the departments for their cooperation and urged officers to ensure regular participation in DPDB meetings. He stressed the importance of strong coordination among departments to ensure timely and effective implementation of developmental projects.
Highlighting the district’s ongoing growth, he emphasized the need for a holistic development approach covering infrastructure, education, health services, sanitation, agriculture, and community development. The Deputy Commissioner encouraged departments to maintain clear communication, ensure transparency, and work collectively to resolve challenges for smooth delivery of public services.
The meeting also discussed a directive from the Tribal Affairs Department regarding upcoming tribal observance programmes. The Deputy Commissioner informed that Adi Seva Kendras (ASKs) will serve as local facilitation centers during the celebration period. Key proposed activities include Floral tributes and cultural observances on November 15 to honor tribal freedom fighters, Benefit saturation camps to promote enrolment in welfare schemes, Grievance redressal camps for public concerns, Health and nutrition camps in collaboration with the Health Department and Community outreach programs such as agricultural input distribution and digital empowerment workshops.
All departments have been instructed to document activities and upload reports on the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) portal. Onglingaku Chang, Project Officer & State Nodal Officer, has been designated for overall coordination.
The DPDB also deliberated and approved several key proposals for the district where The Cornerstone Foundation, Urra Village – Approved for registration, Greenfield Academy, Ganeshnagar – Recommended for recognition, Opening of a new Government Primary School at CHEN Village – Approved were placed before the board for consideration.
In the meeting, the Labour Department presented a PowerPoint briefing during the session, while the Taxes Department has been scheduled to present in the next DPDB meeting.
