A free medical camp and health awareness programme was organized today by the Nature SBI Foundation at New Monger village under Seyochung area. Seven villages and one town took part in the programme, making it one of the biggest gatherings for community health support in recent times.
The team focused on important health topics related to communicable diseases and cleanliness, especially issues that affect rural communities.
The main points covered during the camp included mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue and malaria; Tuberculosis prevention and available treatment; importance of handwashing and home sanitation; and encouraging families to stop open defecation and improve hygiene.
Seven villages and Seyochung Town attended the camp, including Seyochung Village, Thangthure, Old Monger, Yingphire, Tsingar, Yangzitong, New Monger and Seyochung Town.

Speaking at the event, Muwali T Sangtam, President of Seyochung Area Students’ Union, thanked the foundation team for bringing medical support to the area. “Our people have nothing to offer in return, but may the good Lord bless your work,” he shared.
Longtili C Sangtam, Project Lead, Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland, expressed appreciation to the community. He said it was encouraging to see the turnout and thanked the Seyochung Area Students’ Union for their support in organizing and coordinating the programme.
Residents received free health checkups, guidance and medicines, while also learning how to keep their communities safe and clean. The programme ended with encouragement for more such collaborations in the future to build a healthier Seyochung region
