The Additional Deputy Commissioner Tening, Lemlila Sangtam (NCS) in a circular has informed all concerned that a Girls Marathon will be held on January 27 at Tening Town, 6 am. Based on the theme ‘Run the Race’, the event is a part of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, campaign.

The marathon will start from the town centre to New ADC Office complex and then return back to town centre, informed the DIPR.

The citizens of Tening Town and adjoining villages have been requested to send girls in between the age groups of 11 to 18 years of age to participate in this upcoming marathon positively.

Further, the participants have been informed to gather at Town centre latest by 6 AM on January 27. Winners will be requested to produce age proof.
